The cover of Living Right: Far-Right Youth Activists in Contemporary Europe, by Agnieszka Pasieka (Princeton, 2024)
New Books Podcast

New Books Podcast features Agnieszka Pasieka

On April 23, 2025 by Juliet Glazer

What draws young people to far-right movements? In this episode, host Armanc Yildiz speaks with SAE member Agnieszka Pasieka about her new book Living Right: Far-Right Youth Activists in Contemporary Europe (Princeton, 2024). Based on fieldwork with Italian, Hungarian, and Polish youth, Pasieka explores how far-right groups offer youth a sense of purpose and belonging, challenging common assumptions about who joins and why.

This episode is part of an ongoing series from the Society for the Anthropology of Europe (SAE) and the New Books Network, which highlights new research in Europeanist anthropology.
